As a lifelong resident and public servant of Kalamazoo, my passion and zeal for this community continue to grow. I am running for County Commission to extend my gratitude for the County and beyond my four walls. I have had the privilege of serving this community as a public safety officer for many years; hours and hours of my life have been spent on the streets of Kalamazoo, interacting with everyone from residents to owners of locally owned businesses. My history as a local business owner in Oshtemo has allowed me to not only utilize my master's degree in accounting but to become more fiscally aware of how important it is to support and promote small businesses. As Commissioner, I would work together with other Commissioners and the public for the benefit of all citizens. I would advocate allocating funds for all aspects of the criminal justice system, and promoting local workers for local projects.
